Chuck Taylor – Family Life Minister

Chuck Taylor serves as the Family Life Minister for The Journey. He has over 13 years experience working with teens and families in many capacities including youth minister, youth leader, young adult minister, family minister, and pulpit minister. Chuck holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies with a minor in Psychology from Southern Christian University (now Amridge University). He has also completed master’s level classes in Christian Counseling at the Charlotte campus of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

Brandon Maxwell – Student Minister

Brandon Maxwell serves as our youth Minister. Brandon and his wife, Patti, are alumni of Lipscomb University. Brandon has a passion for being the hands and feet of Jesus and a heart for today’s youth. Thus, he believes God has allowed him to be a part of many purpose-driven mission trips ranging from the USA Tour, L.A. Dream Center, Katrina, Fools for Christ, and Switzerland. Brandon and Patti are continuing that purpose by joining the Journey to help bring people far from God to life in Christ. His goal is to see lives transformed through the Word of God and a loving relationship with Jesus.

David Dees – Outreach Minister

David Dees is serving as our Outreach Minister for the Journey. David is an alumnus of Auburn University. David was actively involved at the Auburn Christian Student Center throughout his time there. He was involved in Friends Speak, a program teaching Chinese students English through the Bible, participated in a mission trip to Jamaica, and was involved with the Big Brother program. He has been living in Nashville for the past few years and has felt the call of God to come to North Carolina to work with the ministry team at the Journey. He has a passion for those who are in need of Christ’s love. He enjoys working with people who are going through difficult situations in their life and need spiritual as well as practical guidance to help them meet their full potential in Christ.
